How It Works
The Idea Behind Chance Sequencer
his patch is the small, exposed version of a technique built into Chance Sequencer, tuned, expanded, and given a few more knobs. If evolving a phrase instead of looping it is a sound you want to keep using, Chance carries it further, in Max for Live for Ableton or as a VST3/AU for Logic, Bitwig, Cubase, Reaper, FL Studio, and Studio One.

Deep thoughts
DAW Compatability
This patch was designed using Max 9.1.5 and Ableton 12. While I haven't tested with older version it's likely backward compatible.
Do I need to own Max, separately from Ableton?
No. Max for Live is included with Ableton Live Suite, and that's all this patch requires.
Is this the same as Chance Sequencer?
No. This is the raw technique from the video, built for taking apart and learning from. Chance Sequencer is the fuller instrument built on the same idea.
Can I use this patch commercially?
Yes, with two conditions. Give credit (a link back to this page or to Secret Admiral is enough), and don't redistribute this patch on its own, unmodified, as something you're selling or giving away. Build it into a larger patch, extend it, rework it into something meaningfully your own, and it's yours to use, including commercially. Not sure if what you've built counts as different enough? Just ask.
